NEW HAMPSHIRE

In the 2024 general election, New Hampshire voters demonstrated a mix of partisan choices. Democrat Kamala Harris narrowly won the state's four electoral votes in the presidential race, defeating Republican Donald Trump by approximately 2.8 percentage points, marking the closest margin in the nation in terms of raw vote difference.

In the gubernatorial contest, Republican former U.S. Senator Kelly Ayotte defeated Democrat Joyce Craig, the former mayor of Manchester, to retain the governorship for the GOP

At the federal level, Democrats maintained their hold on New Hampshire's congressional delegation; incumbent Chris Pappas was re-elected in the 1st District, and newcomer Maggie Goodlander won the open 2nd District seat.

Despite these outcomes, Republicans retained control of the state legislature and Executive Council.

Voter turnout was notably high, with a record 834,651 ballots cast.
